Sheila is excited about the opportunity to apply her knowledge and skills in community lending and single-family mortgage products to the role of Director of Fannie Mae’s Bay Area Partnership Office (BAPO) team.
In September 2001, Sheila joined Fannie Mae’s Bay Area Partnership Office as Senior Deputy Director after 11 years working at Citibank in a variety of positions. In her last position at Citi, Sheila was a Community Lending Team Leader, managing a team of mortgage sales officers and helping to create partnerships with non-profit housing organizations for Citibank in Northern California. Sheila and her team focused on homeownership opportunities for minority families and low- and moderate-income households.
Sheila earned her BA from Washington University, in St. Louis, with a Double Major in French and Sociology and an MBA from the John M. Olin School of Business at Washington University. After completing her undergraduate studies, Sheila was honored to receive a Fulbright Teaching Assistantship in Paris, France where she directed English conversation classes and shared information about life in the United States with French junior high and high school students. In her spare time, Sheila sits on the Board of Directors of People's Community Partnership Federal Credit Union in West Oakland and of the Mission Economic Development Association in San Francisco.
