Get Banked with HRI
Over 35% of the people who call us for help with their housing problems are not using banks. Handling money, paying bills, and many other simple financial transactions cost more for people who do not use banks than for those who do. Putting your money into a bank or credit union is an important part of being in control of your financial life. This makes it very hard for people to save and ‘get ahead’. Housing Rights, Inc. staff offer financial education classes intended to assist people who are ‘un-banked’ take control over their finances and use banks or credit unions.
If you are interested in attending a workshop or know of a group of people who would like us to plan and hold a workshop for them, give us a call. There may be a cost for the workshop. However, most of the time HRI has received funding which can be used to cover the cost of conducting these workshops.
